General Purpose:

The general purpose of YPM is to share the dynamic life-changing love and power of Jesus Christ with those who are or were incarcerated  and to their family members and loved ones as circumstances allow.  YPM seeks to recover the dynamic power of the early Christian Church and is founded on the idea of full commitment to Jesus Christ, with the Bible as our primary resource.  Furthermore:
Our ministry is based upon the word of God with special reference to Matt 11:28-30 and  Phil 4:3 where individuals are called to "yoke" themselves to Christ.

 Our "fellowship" is open to all men and women, both lay and clergy, of any Christian denomination, who heeding Christ's command to take His Yoke upon them, accept a voluntary self imposed discipline, and share in the common ministry implied in such Yoke-bearing. 
The Dubois area group is headed up by Treasure Lake Church, with several other denominations, including First Baptist Church and Tri-County Church, providing both lay and clergy. 
​We minister at Clearfield County Jail on Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM. 
We bring the "word" to the prisoners through prayers, songs, personal testimonies, and Bible based discussions.  
​We, also, minister to those who are in "lockdown" by discussing their situation and providing a Bible based path for them to follow. We end these sessions with a prayer for God's intercession in their lives. ​
